How does the Pilates Ring work?
The Pilates Ring can be used to work the arms and upper body by holding it between both hands and pushing gently together. It can also be held between your ankles or thighs to strengthen your leg muscles. As the sides are pushed together, they create resistance.

Exercise 1: Squat & Abductor Squeeze
Place the ring between your thighs and stand with your feet slightly wider than hip-width apart. Squeeze your legs to keep tension on the ring whilst lowering into a squat. Keep squeezing the knees together whilst slowly returning to a standing position. Repeat 10 times for 3 sets.
Exercise 2: Chest Squeeze
Hold the Pilates ring at shoulder height using the foam pads as handles. Stand with feet hip-width apart, arms outstretched and palms facing inwards. Push the sides of the ring towards the centre, squeezing your chest in tight. Release and then repeat 10 times for 3 sets.
